About Me

I’m just a regular working person who enjoys reading and sharing the books I read with others. Away from books, I also enjoy cosmetics, cooking (especially baking), computing and other things that don’t start with C! (Like eating and travel, both within Australia and internationally).

Review Policy

I am happy to accept books for review from publishers, provided that the books sound like something I’d read. Note that as I work full time and study part time, I can’t always be super speedy in reading and reviewing. I do try though. Please don’t be offended if I can’t review your book. Sometimes, life just gets in the way.

I have reviewed books previously for Bloomsbury, Harlequin, Random House, Allen & Unwin, Simon & Schuster, Harper Collins, Signal 8 Press, Hachette and The Reading Room. I have also had a book review published in The Weekend West (state newspaper).

I enjoy general fiction, literary fiction, historical fiction, travel books, biographies, books in translation and cookbooks. However, I’ll always mention in my review how I obtained the book and give my opinion of it. Life is just too short for bad books!

I don’t read science fiction, religious books, fantasy or YA. If there’s a dragon or alien in it, I’m not your woman!

I prefer to read paper books (ARC is fine) or ebooks in epub format. Documents in pdf don’t work well in my eReader!

  1. Lynda La Plante Blind Fury. Sam. I left my book on an aircraft with a quarter to read. Can you tell me who dun it in the last few chapters. Smiley the Ex Para Blind fitter. Ken the boyfriend. Or someone else. Cheers Dave Allen Australia

    • Hi Dave,
To be honest, I really can’t remember who did it! The ending was quite sad from memory (involving Ken). But don’t worry, Anna picks herself up and has more adventures!

I enjoy reading your comments! Thanks for leaving me a comment.
