Literary Giveaway Blog Hop February 18-22

What a lovely way to start the weekend with a giveaway. And thanks to the kind Leeswammes, who has organised the Literary Giveaway Blog Hop, you can blog your way around some great book blogs with the opportunity to win some fantastic books.

My giveaway is a brand-new copy of Villain by Shuichi Yoshida. I thoroughly enjoyed this book (check out my review here) and wanted to share it with someone else. My giveaway is open worldwide, so anyone can enter! Enter by leaving a comment on this post and please include an email address so I can contact the winner. Following my blog is not mandatory; however, it will give me a ray of happiness. Entries close at 11:59pm GMT, February 22 2012 and the winner will be drawn and notified within 48 hours of the closing date.

Please enjoy hopping through the list below – happy reading!

  2. Hi Sam! I’ve never heard of this one before – but I do love discovering a new author so I’m IN!
Have a great weekend, and thanks for the giveaway…

  3. Hello, I would love to enter this giveaway and I similarly have never heard of this author. My email is cerievans1[at]gmail[dot]com. thanks!

  4. I love to see books that are brand new to me and highly recommended. Thank you.

And as much as I’d love to give you a ray of happiness, I can’t stand to have a cluttered mailbox. I wish you had some other way to follow you.

  5. I’d like to enter! I’m giving away one of Murakami’s books, Norwegian Wood. It was my first read by him but not my last. Enjoy the Hop!

  6. I loved this book, when I read it but mine was a library copy, so to have it would be a bonus, so please place me in the proverbial hat to jiggle along with the other lucky persons. thanks Parrish.

  7. You are soooo generous! I love the manga of Tesuka Ozamu which has been translated and would love to new authors of japanese novels. I’ll be adding this one to my TBR list, thank you

  8. I’m just discovering Japanese Lit. I’ve read Murakami’s Hard Boiled Wonderland and The End of the World and Higashino’s The Devotion of Suspect X. Both were very interesting for very different reasons. I’d like to give this one a shot. Thanks!

  9. Love the name of your blog (being my little guy’s name is Sam)

Would love to read this, I’ve been sadly lacking in discovering new books, and am extremely excited to be jumping in!

    Thanks again,

  10. This book sounds really interesting and I would love to try it. I need to read more Japanese authors.

Thanks for the giveaway and for making it international

  11. Like you, I love a good Japanese thriller 🙂 This one must be hanging around somewhere on my to-read list… and I’m pretty sure I’ve got you in my feed (but I’m usually a really bad blogger and commentor :s)! Thanks for choosing this book for your giveaway (and for giving it away of course :D)

  12. Good for you for joining the Literary Giveaway Blog Hop. I’m an avid reader, book reviewer, and blogger, too, so whenever I can snatch up a free book, it helps with my review process.Aside from that, I’m a bibliophile and hoard books, hiding them in my closet for safekeeping.

“Villain” looks dark…and I sound like I might resonate with the character, Mitsuyo. But, I was taken with the description: “Villain is a coolly seductive story of loneliness and alienation in the southernmost reaches of Japan.”

Here’s to hoping I win! See you at the end of the hop.
    Thanks!
