I was surfing the internet this week looking for book news (please say it’s not just me that does this!) when I stumbled upon the beautiful cover design for the latest Haruki Murakami novel, Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage. This book will be released on August 12th 2014 in Australia (that’s a Thursday in case you’re putting it in your diary now).
Suzanne Dean has designed this gorgeous cover, which not only fits in beautifully with previous Murakami covers but will certainly attract readers.

I have ordered it from Amazon already, a pre-order which will arrive in August.mlast time I did that was for 1Q84, and the last Harry Potter for my so . Can’t wait to talk about this one with you come late summer.
I haven’t preordered it. Murakami’s not that big in my city, so I think all I’ll need to do is go downtown on the day! Like you, the last book I preordered was Harry Potter.

Oh, that’s very nice! Some translations of this have gotten great covers and some…have not. Although I’ve loved several of the US Murakami covers designed by Chip Kidd, and I do appreciate the symbolic thematic elements of the US edition of his latest, “your” cover is simply gorgeous! I’m a bit jealous! 😉
