So last week was a bit better and as you can see below, I got some reading in too. I also got some lovely books in the mail too!
The Art of Friendship by Lisa Ireland (released 24th April) is a book I’ve been looking forward to for ages! Libby and Kit have been friends since they were kids. But 20 years later, they’ve moved apart physically, until Libby moves back to Melbourne. They are pretty much different…everything, but it doesn’t matter…or does it?
The Greek Escape by Karen Swan (released 24th April) looks loads of fun. Chloe moves to New York from London to work for a luxury concierge company – she can organise everyone else’s lives perfectly (just not her own). When her ex arrives in town, Chloe jumps at the chance to help a client find a holiday home in the Greek islands. But is client Joe more than that or should Chloe listen to the rumours about him? Thanks Pan Macmillan for both of these books.
The next two books came from Allen & Unwin. The Pharmacist’s Wide by Vanessa Tait (released 24th April) in set in Victorian times. Rebecca’s new husband isn’t the man she thought he was with his strange ways. Plus, he has a new drug to calm her hysteria – heroin. As she falls into addiction, he tries to find a way to profit from his creation…
Lovesome by Sally Seltmann (released 24th April) is set in the mid-90s as Joni is just out of school. Working at a restaurant and painting, Joni enjoys her life. But when best friend Annabelle arrives, Joni’s life pales in comparison. Can their friendship survive?
