Mailbox Monday and What I’m Reading: 18/11/19

It’s been a very hot week here which has curtailed energetic activities in the middle of the day! It’s been good for lying around reading though and I did sneak to the air conditioned shops for a book or three…

Would Like to Meet by Rachel Winters (available 26th November) arrived thanks to Hachette. This sounds like a cute read involving well, meet-cute situations. Evie must convince scriptwriter Ezra to finish a script for a rom-com, but he hasn’t even started writing it. He demands Evie prove to him that you can fall in love just like in the movies, which sends her on all sorts of movie like scenarios…

Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren is about first love and heartbreak. Sam and Tate fell in love, but it ended badly. Now 14 years later they meet again and Sam must confront the man who betrayed her. Can once in a lifetime happen twice?

My Friend Anna by Rachel DeLoache Williams is non-fiction, about Anna Delvey, a fake heiress. Anna was one of Rachel’s friends and here Rachel tells the story.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo has generated a lot of book buzz with her first book of adult fiction. Alex is an unlikely freshman at Yale and she has a special task – monitor the secret societies which are far more dangerous than anyone thought…

If you want to look at other books received this week across the globe, drop by the Mailbox Monday blog for links to everyone’s mailbox goodies.

  1. Nice looking assortment of books. I had seen a description of Ninth House by Bardugo and dismissed it as another fantasy. I may have to give that one a try. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  2. Funny you are seeking air conditioning and we are seeking heaters. 🙂
It looks like you had a good reading week.
Would Like to Meet and Twice in Blue Moon sound like books I would like.
    Happy Reading!
