Another Monday rolls around…some of our quarantine restrictions are reduced today, but I think I’ll let the rush slow down before I venture out. I had two books arrive in the mail (there is a special parcel postie in addition to regular parcel post at the moment) and two that I bought.
The Museum of Forgotten Memories by Anstey Harris (available 1st June) came from Simon and Schuster. Cara is devastated by her husband Richard’s death, and when she loses her job, she moves with his son to Crouch-on-Sea. It’s the home of Richard’s grandfather’s museum and a place Cara falls in love with. But will Richard’s death hold her back from her future?
The Jane Austen Society by Natalie Jenner (available 26th June) arrived from Hachette. Jane Austen’s home in Chawton is in danger of being sold. Eight villagers in Chawton are brought together by their love of Jane to create The Jane Austen Society. Can they find a say to preserve her legacy?
Sanditon by Kate Riordan is the novelization of the recent television series, based on Jane Austen’s unfinished work. Charlotte’s life is changed when she ends up in Sanditon, a seaside town where nothing and nobody are what they seem. Fortunes, love and dalliances are commonplace.
Code Name Helene by Ariel Lawton is a fiction book about real life Australian spy, Nancy Wake. Nancy is living in Paris when World War II starts and plays a role in the French Resistance, in France and beyond. As the war continues, Nancy will become more exposed. I’m looking forward to this, I read all I could about Nancy Wake in high school.

All your new books look like my kind of reads. I remember reading Of Mice and Men in high school. That story really stayed with me. Made me sad. Enjoy your reading week!
There seems to be several books out about Nancy Wake right now.
The Museum of Forgotten Memories looks good. I am looking forward to getting a copy of Lisa Ireland’s latest book. I love all her work.
These all look tempting. I am curious about Inheritance of Secrets. Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
All new books/authors to me. Code Name looks particularly interesting. Happy Reading!
