Mailbox Monday and What I’m Reading: 12/4/21

A short week is always a very busy week! Even my poor postie had to deliver books on the weekend. Here’s what arrived:

Black Buck by Mateo Askaripour (available 27th April) arrived thanks to Hachette. Buck is the hottest salesman in New York, but before that he was Darren who works at Starbucks. His reinvention came when he noticed he was the only Black person in the office. But then tragedy strikes and Buck has a plan to help people of colour enter the sales force, setting off a chain of events.

To Sir Phillip, With Love by Julia Quinn is the fifth book in the Bridgerton series and focuses on Eloise. Eloise has been writing to Phillip and now he wants to meet and marry her! Phillip is unlike the other men she knows, but he’s not perfect either.

When He Was Wicked by Julia Quinn finds Michael Stirling, infamous rake, falling for Francesca Bridgerton. But unfortunately Francesca is now married to his cousin. But later, they are both free and close friends…what will happen next?

  1. I’m so tempted to pick up the Bridgerton books, but this was a series I watched already and I’m so afraid that I’m not going to like the show as much (if that’s even possible!!)… So, should I? Shouldn’t I? My TBR pile is going to hate me!!

  2. i did enjoy my reread of the Bridgerton series. I read them years ago when they were first published. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
