Mailbox Monday and What I’m Reading: 31/5/21

It’s been a week of extremes here – rainy, cold, dry and warm. No parcels so I bought a few books:

First Comes Scandal by Julia Quinn has Georgiana Bridgerton in a quandary – marry the rogue who ruined her, or remain a spinster? Nicholas Rokesby offers a third option – she can marry the boy next door and remain just friends…or not…

The Other Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn finds Poppy Bridgerton kidnapped by pirates off the Dorset coast. Captain Andrew Rokesby isn’t a pirate but working for the government – what is he meant to do with Poppy?

The Girl With the Make-Believe Husband by Julia Quinn finds Cecilia with two horrible choices – marry her cousin or move in with her aunt. Instead, she chooses to travel to look after her wounded brother. But she finds his best friend, Edward Rokesby instead and when Edward awakes with amnesia, he’s confused as why everyone is calling Cecilia his wife…

Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinnis the first book in the Bridgerton prequels. Billie Bridgerton is expected to marry one of the Rokesby brothers but she detests George with a passion. Unfortunately, when they are thrown together, their passion ignites into something else.
