It’s been rainy and windy and just generally miserable this week!
You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry is about Poppy and Alex. At first sight, they hate each other. The next summer, they are forced to share a ride home and make a pact – one vacation each year. But two summers ago, it all went wrong. This year is the last trip – will they still be just friends? Thanks to Penguin for the copy.
The Unusual Abduction of Avery Conifer by Ilsa Evans(available 1st September) has Beth and Shirley running across country with their granddaughter, to try to save her from harm. They don’t like each other, but they will do what it takes alongside Shirley’s mother and Beth’s dog to avoid their families, the media and the police. Thanks to Harlequin for the copy.
Birds of a Feather by Tricia Stringer(available 29th September) was also from Harlequin. Eve feels like she is being cast out of her community in addition to feeling old and weak. The addition of Lucy, who is helping Eve recuperate after surgery, and Julia, her god-daughter seem to complicate the matter further. Each feels lost, but can they find a new way forward together?
Meet Me in Bendigo by Eva Scottwas from Harlequin too. Annalisa is running her family’s hardware ship in small Wongilly, but the business is facing some strong competition. Her online romance is the only thing keeping her going, but when she meets Ed who wants to buy her out, he’s a big distraction. What happens when Ed and Annalisa find out they know each other online a lot better than in person?
