Mailbox Monday and What I’m Reading: 24/10/22

I did a lot of shovelling this week, so reading was done at night. I’m hoping for more reading this week, but I have a lot of evening engagements!

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa has Solange helping her cousin with a wedding. Easy until she finds out that the couple shouldn’t be together and crashes the wedding. But now groom Dean needs a partner to make partner and enlists Solange as his fake date. Of course this will end well…!

The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adamsis about Bree, who is hopelessly in love with her best friend and football legend, Nathan. He’s not only sweet, but has helped her out with her business. It’s all great until a drunk Bree tells TMZ her feelings and their ‘relationship’ goes viral. Pretending means financial security but can Bree hide her truth?

Spillover by David Quammenis non-fiction, looking at how infections from animals can be transmitted to humans and the consequences (which we all know too well).

Funny You Should Ask by Elissa Sussman has Chani writing puff pieces while her classmates get book deals. But a weekend interviewing the latest James Bond, Gabe, has the tabloids buzzing. Fast forward to 10 years later and Chani has nailed her career dreams. But people always ask about Gabe, so she agrees to a second interview. Will it mean as much as the first?

  1. Other than Spillover, these books look like fun. Spillover almost sounds creepy… in light of the month. Speaking of which…I had to be curious about what you were shoveling. Snow? Garden? Graves? (My mind is just set in October mode.)
I hope you have a good week and Happy Reading!

I enjoy reading your comments! Thanks for stopping by.
