Mailbox Monday and What I’m Reading: 6/2/23

A bit of a mixed up week – I had an eye injury which made long periods of reading difficult. It seems to be getting better now, which is good because I’ve got some good new books!

Maame by Jessica George (available 14th February)is about Maddie, who has always been told who she is in relation to someone else. When she leaves home, she has the chance to be her own person but then tragedy strikes… Thanks to Hachette for the copy.

The Matchmaker by Saman Shad arrived from Penguin. Saima is a great matchmaker but she’s over the gossip. When Kal’s parents offer her big money to find a match for their son, she can’t resist – and she can’t let Kal know. Could they each be the answer to what they’ve been looking for?

To see other books received or bought this week across the world, drop by the Mailbox Monday blog for links to everyone’s mailbox goodies.

It’s Monday! What are you reading? is hosted by Book Date.

What I read last week:

Dear Dolly: on Love, Life and Friendship by Dolly Alderton

What I’m reading at the moment:

The Garnett Girls by Georgina Moore

Spike by Jeremy Farrar with Anjana Ahuja

What I’ll be reading next:

Probably one of the above.
