The more astute of you might notice that it’s not Friday (I’m very early or rather late), but I wanted to join in with Yumeko’s Meme because it’s a lot of fun. Do check it out here. How better to celebrate the end of the week than with some photos?
1. Something you bought recently
I didn’t do a lot of shopping this week (I overslept and couldn’t be bothered fighting the sale crowds), so my main purchase was these yummy Lindt chocolates on sale for $1.88 AU each. The Strawberry Intense is new (was only available at Lindt cafes until recently) and it’s delicious. I’ll probably use some of these in cooking – the Intense range make a mean muffin or custard.
2. Something you got in the mail this week
I had rather a boring mail week to be honest. I did win this signed copy of The Boy Who Fell to Earth by Kathy Lette from Random House Australia, which I was pretty pleased about. What I was somewhat ashamed of was that I missed it when I came home in the dark cold night and didn’t find it until the next morning!
3. Something you could not live without this week
How about the 9 Revlon Lip Butters I bought to round out my collection? I’ve been trying them out each day and all the shades are wearable. Amazing!
4. Something you are trying out this week
A new recipe for gnocchi. It was very easy to do, and not as sticky as previously. I haven’t eaten them as yet, but they look good!
5. Something you are wearing this week
Trying out a new pair of boots I bought in Melbourne on sale from Diana Ferrari for $80 AU. Pretty good so far, although they need a little wearing in. (And yes, I do own two boots…)
Thanks Yumeko for starting this meme!
You had me with the chocolate. I can never, never pass up good dark chocolate. Ghirardelli’s raspberry is my favorite. I’m pretty sure they are owned by Lindt.
I haven’t tried Ghirardelli – I love raspberry so am going to search for it tomorrow in the city (food hall of one of the department stores has a lovely chocolate section).
That chocolate looks great – I love strawberry flavoured chocolate!
How you could miss a book on your doorstep/mailbox is a mystery to me… you must have been very tired. 🙂
I usually enter via the garage but I always check – or I thought I did! Deliberately walk up to the door each night now – and still enter through the garage!
Lindt chocolate is the best! 🙂 I usually go with chocolate mousse.
Lindt over Cadbury any time! I love chocolate mousse, a local dairy makes one but I can never find it at the supermarket. Will just have to make my own!
Nice! Diana Ferrari always has nice comfy boots! People keep raving on about the lip butters – are they seriously that good? Are they lipsticks, tinted balms or otherwise? .. and more importantly, why are they so good?!
They are really good, but I think the cheaper price boosts them a bit higher in lip colour stakes. Definitely not a replacement for balm, closer to a lip stick. The darker the colour, the brighter the shade. They are quite moisturising – good cheap dupe for Dior Addict Extreme (which I love, but are so expensive!)
The strawberry chocolate looks so good! I’m in admiration of your lip butter stash, I haven’t tried any of them yet. I like that you got so many orange-toned ones (I don’t think I or most people could pull them off!).
Wait ’til you see the latest bunch. They’re spread out across the bathroom cabinet! I’m becoming a lot more adventurous with orange, MAC Morange is a favourite.
What a fun meme… I can only imagine what I would have put down for each of these. That chocolate int he house for me would be dangerous 🙂
I haven’t actually eaten any yet – was sick and didn’t eat. But now I think I should get some!
