A few new books this week, some older ones that I’ve not read and a new release:
Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin is the first book in the Tales of the City series, starting in San Francisco in the 1970s. The residents of 28 Barbary Lane, gay and straight, are living the ups and downs of life in the city.
How to End a Love Story by Yulin Kuang is about Helen, an author and Grant, a screenwriter. They are meant to be adapting a novel for television, but they have a messy past…and sparks start to fly…
The Best of Everything by Rona Jaffe is set in 1950s New York as four women arrive in town – one for a career, two with a history of disastrous romances and another a divorcee caring for her daughter. It’s about work, politics, romance and friendship.
