Last week had everything happening. Let’s hope this week is a little more sedate! I received two books in the mail and bought two more:
Wearing Paper Dresses by Anne Brinsden (available 24th September, RRP $32.99) arrived thanks to Pan Macmillan. It’s set in rural Australia as a family move to the country to work the family farm. For Elise, her glamour holds no charm to the country people and her daughters are left to run wild. Then tragedy strikes and one girl runs to the city, but can she stay away?
Child’s Play by Danielle Steel (available 8th October, RRP $29.99) was also from Pan Macmillan. Kate is proud of her children who all have great careers, but is that really what they want? Over one summer, they will each make unexpected choice that has Kate examining her own life and secrets.
I love Christina Lauren’s books for a fun read, so I had to get the two most recent releases. The Unhoneymooners finds Olive and Ethan the only members of a wedding party left standing after food poisoning strikes. A free holiday sounds great, except for Ethan, her sworn enemy. But when Olive meets her new boss unexpectedly, she needs Ethan to help keep a secret and uphold a lie. And then things don’t seem quite so bad…
My Favourite Half-Night Stand finds Millie and her best male friends making a pact to join the world of online dating. But at the end of the night, Millie and Reid get it on only to realise that things are better off strictly platonic. She jumps into online dating, but the real Millie only attracts creeps so she invents a fake profile who Reid is rather interested in…
